“Amongst the usual stream of rewritten 90s songs (Shame on you, Push Claims, SHAME ON YOU) and ‘this is what X sounds like…’ a few shiny buttons shine through the pocket lint and old un-chewed mints. As ever McDonalds give a strong show and a record breaking sentence from Scottish Tapestry is noteworthy, but pipping the lot to the post by a number of noses is Fearmasters, whose quartet of connected but individual ads are a delight, especially the clone product recall spot. Nothing fancy, no tricks, just great writing and a simple voiceover. Unbranded too, but leaves you wanting to find out more.
